I'm really loving my new job, but holy crap have I been working overtime lately. In the good old days I would have just thought about all the extra MONEY, but I'm salaried now, so I don't exactly get paid more for working more.
Luckily, I get a whole week off for Christmas and I just had a long weekend for Thanksgiving. THAT was new. I'm used to working my ass off most of Thanksgiving weekend. It was nice to chill and enjoy dinner with the family and all of that.
If I get done here at a decent time, I think maybe I'll go out tonight. Anyone want to join me?

New job is pretty much AWESOME! LA was really great, too, but it was nice to get back home, too. I had a really great time, but I definitely missed Atlanta and all my friends and family here.

So, I may or may not have been offered a real job. As in not waitressing. As in no more dudes grabbing my ass, no more crappy tips, no more... any of it.
Art department of an ad agency. Apparently they liked my ideas or something.
There's a two week training at the main offices in LA. Starts Monday.
Yeah, did I mention the part where they are paying me to go to Los fucking Angeles? Sweet! I'm heading out a few days early so I can do some touristing and stuff.

This is not likely to be a popular opinion, but I despise summer vacation. All these tourists in the city are about to drive me up a wall. They're horrible tippers, too! It's unbelievable how cheap these people are. And rude. People say New Yorkers are rude, but they have nothing on some of the assholes I've been forced to serve since school let out.
I think I'm going to head out tonight and blow off some steam. Who's with me?

It's kind of great to be home for awhile. I don't know if we're going to stay in Atlanta for the WHOLE summer, but as much as I love New York, it's nice to have a break and a change of pace.
Not to mention, the parentals seem glad to see us. You'd think they like us or something.

So, this idiot thought it was perfect alright to grab my ass after I took his order yesterday. Seriously? Since when is it acceptable to grope your waitress? Luckily, I have the coolest boss in the history of the world and I still have a job, even after I hit the man for his troubles.
